Manchester United will not be cutting the budget for their disabled supporters’ association, despite Sir Jim Ratcliffe keen on doing so.
In November, CentreDevils revealed that club officials were considering slashing the £40,000 annual funding in half.
The move was part of a wider cost-cutting review following Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS’ arrival.
United have suffered major financial losses despite record revenues, triggering 250 job redundancies.
However, according to the Daily Mail, the club has now decided against cutting MUDSA’s budget.

The Manchester United Disabled Supporters Association (MUDSA) is one of the oldest in the country.
The £40,000 funds key events, including a Christmas party attended by first-team players.
It also supports a bowling day and the annual MUDSA dinner, where tickets are subsidised.
Denis Irwin was the guest speaker at the latest event, highlighting its importance.
Irwin was one of three former players recently told that their salaries were to be decreased as part of cost-cutting measures from Sir-Jim Ratcliffe.
MUDSA also collaborates with the Manchester United Foundation to run mixed-ability sporting events.
News of the potential budget cut sparked heavy backlash when first reported.
One insider described it as “nothing short of a disgrace,” slamming United’s financial priorities.
They pointed to wasted funds on player transfers and managerial pay-offs as bigger issues.
Despite this, United have confirmed that funding for a former players’ charity has been scrapped.

MUDSA members are expected to be informed of the final decision today.
This decision will come as a relief to many within the club and fanbase, who saw the proposed cuts as unnecessary and damaging to United’s reputation.
The move ensures that disabled supporters can continue to enjoy the same level of engagement and community events.
Events which have been a staple for decades.
It also goes to show the influence of fan pressure, with strong opposition likely playing a role in reversing the initial proposal.
However, concerns remain over other budget cuts, particularly the scrapping of funding for the former players’ charity.
With United still looking to balance their finances, further difficult decisions could be on the horizon.
