Manchester United are getting ready for their Europa League clash with Real Sociedad this evening as The Red Devils travel to Spain for the first leg on Thursday night.

Unfortunately for Ruben Amorim, another injury crisis at Carrington means that he’s without some of his top stars.

Both Amad Diallo and Lisandro Martinez are ruled out for the rest of the season with ligament damage, whilst Kobbie Mainoo still out until the end of the month.

In goal, Amorim has to rely on the problematic Andre Onana with his second-choice goalkeeper Altay Bayindir is also on the injury list.

Now, Manchester World has reported that Manuel Ugarte and Harry Maguire are also ruled out of the first leg, having picked up “minor issues” following United’s FA Cup loss to Fulham.

Manchester United prepare for Real Sociedad clash

This morning, Maguire and Ugarte were left out of team training, suggesting they won’t be on the flight to Spain later on today.

In their place, Toby Collyer has returned to the team, with several other academy graduates also joining in the training session.

Alongside Collyer, youngsters Jaydan Kamason, Jack Fletcher, Harry Amass, Jack Moorhouse and James Scanlon all joined the senior squad this morning, expected to travel to Spain with the first team.

Thankfully for Amorim, Patrick Dorgu is eligible to play, with his red card suspension only applicable to domestic games, giving him a free pass to play in Europe still.

However, Chido Obi is another star set to miss the game, with the talented striker unregistered for the competition so is unable to participate.
