Manchester United are experiencing real issues with their squad amid yet another injury crisis for the second year running.
Last year the club’s eighth-place finish was vastly put down to the extent of the injuries they experienced, however, they’re now experiencing a very similar spate of injuries, sat in 15th place.
Whilst regular occupants of the treatment room Mason Mount and Luke Shaw are still recovering from injury, other first-team stars who have been vital for Ruben Amorim are now joining them.
Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo are ruled out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL and damaged ankle ligament respectively.
Whilst Martinez has already gone under the knife in London to begin his road to recovery, Diallo is still awaiting his recommended surgery.
Kobbie Mainoo is another one of Amorim’s routine starters who has been side-lined, however he’s fighting to return after the March internationals, to finish the season on the pitch.
Alongside them Jonny Evans, Toby Collyer and Altay Bayindir are also experiencing injuries, ruling them out of team selections.
Now, ESPN has reported that another of United’s star men could be finding themselves out of action after taking a knock in United’s clash with Everton.

Manchester United’s injury concerns for Noussair Mazraoui

In United’s recent 2-2 draw with Everton, their final visit to Goodison Park, Noussair Mazraoui seemingly picked up an injury to his knee.
It’s understood that he’s set to undergo further assessments today, before a decision can be made around his selection for United’s next match against Ipswich at Old Trafford on Wednesday 26th February 2025.
Their next clash is vital in United’s fight to stay clear of relegation, potentially set to set them three points further ahead of 18th place Ipswich, potentially even taking them to 13th place depending on other results.
Amorim will no doubt be hoping that Mazraoui will be available for selection, with his only other options being Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Ayden Heaven.
This could force Amorim’s hand in giving Heaven his senior debut, with the 18-year-old arriving from Arsenal this January.
