Leny Yoro joined Manchester United from Lille for £52m in July.

The 18-year-old signed a five-year deal at Old Trafford, with the option of an extra year that will keep him at the club until 2030.

Yoro fractured his metarsal in pre-season and underwent surgery in August.

He has so far missed three months of action for the Red Devils.

It was reported last month that Yoro is targetting a November return, with his latest expected debut to be against Arsenal on December 3.

New footage has emerged which indicates that Yoro’s recovery process is on the right track.

United posted a video of the Frenchman running on a treadmill.

“On the way back,” Yoro captioned the video.

Erik ten Hag has been encouraged by the centre-back’s recovery and has revealed that everything is going as expected.

“He’s very mature and has a great personality. He is dealing with [the injury], looking forward and being bright”, he said.

Whether Yoro will start upon his return is unknown, but it is likely that Ten Hag will phase him into the team.

He will have to compete with established players like Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez, as well as new summer signing Matthijs de Ligt at centre-back.

Despite their miserable start to the season, United’s defence has been a bright point for them.

Andre Onana has kept the most clean sheets in the Premier League with four this campaign.

Furthermore, United have conceded eight goals in the league, the same as Manchester City and Chelsea.

The introduction of Leny Yoro will only help Ten Hag’s side in their attempts to turn their poor form around.
