Manchester United are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements this summer, with The Red Devils severely struggling in front of goal.
Ruben Amorim has been relying on Rasmus Hojlund and summer signing Joshua Zirkzee as his only strikers, however the pair are lacking consistency at the head of the attacks.
With only 12 goals between them, Hojlund and Zirkzee arguably need a prolific goalscorer at the club to learn from, with United desperate to have a clinical finisher on the pitch once more.
The club’s recruitment team have been scouring Europe since the summer to find potential fits for Amorim’s system, and now have settled on their primary target for the summer.

Manchester United prioritise signing Victor Osimhen

Give Me Sport has reported that United have now put Victor Osimhen at the top of their shortlist of transfer targets for the summer.
The Red Devils have been linked to Osimhen for some time now with the Nigerian striker out of favour with Napoli manager Antonio Conte, thus finding himself on loan with Galatasaray.
However, the 26-year-old has been thriving on loan, grabbing 20 goals and five assists in 25 games.
Despite United identifying the striker as their top summer target, there are some obstacles in the way of Osimhen signing to Amorim’s squad.
Firstly is his £63 million release clause, and whilst United have £20 million coming in from the upcoming sale of Jadon Sancho to Chelsea, the club will need more sales to generate the funds needed to activate the clause.
Next is his wage. The Nigeria international is currently on a £250,000 per week salary, with United’s salary budget already pushed to it’s limits and beyond.
However, even with these financial obstacles, United reportedly see Osimhen as a safe bet, with former Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho labelling the striker as “world-class”.
