Today sees Manchester United and Manchester City meet for the first time this season as both sides return to league action following the international break.
During that international break, several players from both sides hit form with Erling Haaland contributing to seven goals in one game during their game against Andorra.
Furthermore, United captain Bruno Fernandes attracted above average ratings and contributing dangerous passes which arguably helped Portugal win their FIFA World Cup Qualifier versus Armenia.
But, with league action now set to commence, both sides will be focusing on making an impact for their respective clubs.
However, both sides will arguably be weakened through injuries with up to 17 players potentially being unavailable for today’s fixture.
One of these players is Diego Dalot who suffered an injury whilst on international duty with Portugal.
Now, considering this absence, Manchester United have dropped a hint about who could replace him in the line-up.
On their official Instagram page, the Red Devils posted a video informing fans that the match was taking place today.
In this video, Patrick Dorgu featured perhaps hinting at the defender’s involvement in today’s fixture.
Dorgu has featured for United in the Premier League this season with him appearing in Ruben Amorim’s line-ups against Arsenal and Fulham.
If he was to feature in the game against Manchester City today, the Danish international would be returning following an absence against Burnley.
But, nothing can be said for sure until Ruben Amorim reveals his starting line-up for the derby.
Therefore, attention could turn towards seeing if Patrick Dorgu features in the starting line-up in the game today for the Red Devils.
