Manchester United fans have been urged to wear black in protest against the club’s ownership.

The protest is set to happen before Sunday’s Premier League clash with Arsenal.

CentreDevils previously reported full details on how the protest is set to be carried out.

The 1958 supporters’ group is leading the demonstration against the Glazer family, accusing them of running the club into financial ruin.

Fans will march from The Tollgate pub to Old Trafford, highlighting concerns over the club’s on-pitch struggles.

“The club is slowly dying before our eyes,” said a spokesperson for The 1958.

“We urge fans to rise up, unite, and join us at 3pm on Sunday.

“As we march to the ground and protest against the despised Glazers and the club’s deliberate assault on fan culture.”

This follows growing anger over Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s cost-cutting measures since taking charge of football operations last year.

United have posted financial losses for five consecutive years, leading to drastic actions.

450 job redundancies and a mid-season ticket price increase being examples.

Fans are particularly frustrated by the decision to scrap concessions for under-18s and over-65s.

This has sparked fears of further price hikes next season.

Sunday’s protest mirrors a similar demonstration in 2005, when United supporters wore black at the FA Cup final following Malcolm Glazer’s controversial takeover.

The anger is growing, with last weekend’s FA Cup tie against Fulham seeing Old Trafford’s lowest attendance of the season.

Supporters are set to gather outside the stadium at 3pm before marching down Sir Matt Busby Way.

The protest is expected to be one of the biggest in recent years, with thousands set to take part.

Interesting times ahead for United fans, with INEOS also facing pressure for decisions made since arriving.
