Manchester United fans made their feelings clear towards co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe during their side’s 1-0 win over Fulham on Sunday evening.
Lisandro Martinez’s long-range strike secured the victory, but the traveling fans stole the spotlight with their vocal disapproval of Ratcliffe.
Chants directed at Ratcliffe included an explicit reference: “Just like the Glazers, Jim Ratcliffe’s a c***,” echoing widespread discontent.

The INEOS chief awkwardly witnessed the chants firsthand, seated alongside Sir Dave Brailsford in the stands.
Fans also took aim at the recent ticket price hike, singing: “£66 you are taking the p***,” referencing the controversial 30% increase.
The outrage stems from Ratcliffe’s decisions, including cutting 250 jobs, ending Sir Alex Ferguson’s ambassadorial role, and scrapping a former players’ fund.
Protests against the price hike have occurred at Old Trafford, with banners like “Your debt, not ours” appearing during recent games.
Ratcliffe defended the changes, stating:
“I don’t think it makes sense for a Manchester United ticket to cost less than a ticket to see Fulham.
“I don’t want to exclude local fans but we need to optimise ticketing.
“You can’t be popular all the time either.”
The club justified the changes in a letter to fan groups.
Citing over £300 million in losses and the need to comply with Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
“This is not sustainable,” the letter read.
“We need to make difficult choices, including workforce reductions and reviewing our ticketing strategy.”
Despite the unrest, Ratcliffe’s plan to redevelop Old Trafford has gained government backing, paving the way for a 100,000-capacity super-stadium.
The decision to renovate or rebuild remains undecided, but the project is seen as a step towards modernising the club’s infrastructure.
Fan frustrations reflect a broader discontent with United’s ownership, which continues to face scrutiny amid financial and operational challenges.
