Manchester United defender Noussair Mazraoui has officially returned to the squad for Manchester United’s game vs Burnley today.
This will be seen as a huge boost for Ruben Amorim’s side given their defensive struggles.
He will primarily play as the right-sided centre-back in Amorim’s back three.
He is also capable of playing wingback.
Luke Shaw, Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro, and Ayden Heaven are all available and can play in the back three.
Patrick Dorgu, Harry Amass, Diego Leon, Amad, and Diogo Dalot are also all available to play in the wing-back positions.
CentreDevils exclusively revealed that Lisandro Martinez trained on grass individually yesterday and is making positive progress, with a return to first-team training not being far away now.
The Argentine is working hard to be back and is seen as an important member of the group.
Martinez is at his best when he plays as the left centre-back in a back three, which minimises his shortcomings in aerial duels and box defending.
Martinez’s progress was cut short in February when he sustained a major injury to his cruciate ligament, which prevented him from playing the rest of the Premier League season and stopped the momentum he was beginning to gain.
Mazraoui and Martinez will play a key part in the upcoming season and United fans will be keen on his return.
