Ruben Amorim’s team is looking for a successful preseason as they travel to the USA this month.

The Red Devils defeated West Ham United 2-1 in their opening game earlier today.

Bryan Mbeumo was not used because of his fitness, but newcomer Matheus Cunha played over 60 minutes.

The Red Devils are not finished with the transfer window, even with these two attacking additions.

Senne Lammens and Ollie Watkins are both high on United’s agenda as well as a search for a midfielder continuing.

The preseason tour in the USA will help the Red Devils financially and on a fitness perspective.

Pre-season football tours in general offer numerous benefits for clubs, including fitness development, tactical refinement, player integration, and commercial opportunities.

They provide a crucial period for building a strong foundation before the competitive season begins.

And the Red Devils are already breaking records in the tour.

The attendance for Manchester United’s 2-1 win over West Ham at MetLife Stadium was 82,566, the largest for a football match in the United States this year, surpassing the Club World Cup final’s 81,118.

These extraordinary numbers show the global fanbase the Red Devils have as well as the huge support.

Ruben Amorim will use this preseason to try some tactical tweaks as well as trying players in different positions.

It is also a benefit on a fitness standpoint, helping players gain match sharpness ahead of the new season.

New signings Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Diego Leon will use this opportunity to build connections and gain chemistry with their new team.

It will also allow younger players to gain valuable experience both playing and travelling.

Some include Bendito Mantato, Ethan Williams, Jack Fletcher, Reece Munro, Chido Obi, and Will Murdock.

Those high attendance numbers can only be seen as a positive for Manchester United.
