For a long time, Manchester United fans have been asking the club to appoint best in class.
Unfortunately for MUFC fans, an example of best in class has been seen at Manchester City.
Since Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan brought the club in 2008, the Cityzens have led the way in bringing the best to their club.
That means both on and off the pitch.
City went and brought a number of names in from top clubs like Barcelona as they put a structure in place to help Pep Guardiola take the club to new heights.
Only now, with the ownership of INEOS, have Manchester United tried to do the same.

An example of that has been to actually bring in names from their noisy neighbours.
Omar Berrada was brought into the club in a shock move announced in January.
Jason Wilcox has also been brought in and he has connections with City too.
And now another former City man is being brought to Old Trafford.
The Daily Mail are reporting that Manchester United appointed Sam Erith as performance director until the end of the season.
Erith is seen as an industry leader, having taken in spells at City, Tottenham Hotspur and most recently Madison Square Garden Sports.
The Mail report that sporting director Dan Ashworth identified Erith and brought him to the club.
Part of the remit for Sam Erith will be to provide Erik ten Hag and his players with an elite environment in which to challenge.
Erith has experience in performance, health and sports science, and had the role of head of sports science for six years at Spurs and also 11 years at City.
His most recent title was senior vice president for player performance and science leader for MSG, who own the New York Knicks and New York Rangers franchises.
This move seen as part of a wide-ranging attempt by the new ownership to ensure United are at the cutting edge of football and across all advances in technology.
Cristiano Ronaldo infamously ridiculed the club for living in the past when he did a tell-all interview with Piers Morgan in January last year.
It seems that his words are finally being heeded.
Better late than never…
