Manchester United’s off-the-pitch growth continues to match the ambition shown on the field this summer.

Following a transfer window that has seen the squad bolstered with major signings, the INEOS-led hierarchy have also been active in expanding the club’s commercial portfolio.

United’s strategy has focused on securing partnerships that strengthen the brand while delivering tangible benefits to its global operations.

The latest agreement reflects that approach, adding to a growing list of high-value sponsorships that underpin the club’s long-term vision.

Today, the club officially confirmed via website, a multi-year deal with UK-headquartered fintech company Sokin, appointing them as United’s Official Global Business Payment Solutions Partner.

As part of the partnership, Sokin will provide its industry-leading payments platform to power seamless and efficient international business-to-business transactions for the club.

Leveraging AI to create efficiencies, Sokin’s technology helps businesses streamline cross-border accounts payable, receivable, and treasury operations.

Thus, giving them greater clarity and control to scale globally.

Sokin have an established record in sports business payments, having partnered with several top European clubs and the British & Irish Lions during their Test series in Australia this summer.

Marc Armstrong, United’s chief business officer, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sokin to the Manchester United family.

“Their global business payments infrastructure and forward-thinking approach align perfectly with our commitment to delivering best-in-class services.

“As well as experiences to our fans and partners across the world.”

Sokin CEO Vroon Modgill called the partnership a “pivotal moment” for the company, praising United’s ability to connect with “hundreds of millions of supporters” and likening it to Sokin’s mission of breaking down barriers to global commerce.

“The way United connects with hundreds of millions of supporters in every corner of the globe, mirrors our own ambition to empower businesses of all sizes to operate internationally, with ease and efficiency.

“This partnership perfectly embodies our mission to break down the barriers to global commerce.

“There’s no better partner than a club that defines what it means to be truly global.”
