INEOS have made it clear that Manchester United’s transfer focus is shifting toward youth and long-term planning rather than short-term, high-cost solutions.
After years of splashing huge sums on established stars during the Ed Woodward era – with limited success – the emphasis now is on identifying talent early and developing it in-house.

The likes of Chido Obi, Ayden Heaven, and Leny Yoro emphasise this strategy, with the Red Devils determined to find the next superstar before they explode onto the scene.
That’s why missing out on Sverre Nypan will sting.
Manchester United had been monitoring the Norwegian wonderkid for over two years and were even favourites to land him earlier this year.
Especially after he publicly admitted that a move to Old Trafford would be a “dream.”
However, Nypan has now officially joined Manchester City, as confirmed by the club’s website.

The 18-year-old midfielder arrives from Rosenborg and has signed a five-year deal until 2030.
He made his first-team debut at just 15 and has since registered 14 goals and 11 assists in 70 senior games.
Nypan becomes City’s fifth signing of the summer following deals for Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki, Tijjani Reijnders and Marcus Bettinelli.
Speaking on the move, Nypan said: “It’s a dream for any young footballer to become part of this club and to join such a group of world class talent.”
City’s Director of Football Hugo Viana added: “Sverre is an exciting young player… we believe he will be an important asset for Manchester City in the years to come.”
United fans will now have to watch one of their long-time targets develop across town under Pep Guardiola, rather than at Old Trafford.
