Injury issues have been Luke Shaw’s Achilles heel for a number of years at Manchester United.
His comebacks over the years have provided hope to the fans, only to suffer one setback after another.
Most recently, the Englishman missed the start of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign with a calf injury before picking up another unrelated muscle injury.
The fresh setback in December was a huge blow for Shaw, with the defender still working on his return to full fitness.
It was announced late January that the Englishman had made his return as he was seen in team training.

However, Luke Shaw has suffered another injury setback according to UtdMenace on X.
Luke Shaw injury setback, anywhere from 4 weeks out (subject to change again!!!) depending on treatment and rehab, gutted for him. pic.twitter.com/ZTfXvp21BY

It is unknown as to what type of injury it is.
However what is clear is that the left-back will be out for a minimum of four weeks, which is subject to change.
Shaw’s injury woes will forever pose as a disappointment to United fans, considering the ability he has shown when fit.
Similar to Mason Mount at United, both players have shown quality on the pitch when fit, but struggle to stay fit for several games.
United fans have had to endure Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia at left-back, with neither really able to stay fit for prolonged periods.
Malacia has now departed, while Shaw’s injury prone status will continue to frustrate fans.
Plenty of fans on social media have been calling for the Englishman to be sold.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Shaw in the summer.
What remains certain though, is his luck not improving in the foreseeable.
This only goes to show what an important signing Patrick Dorgu was.
Had United not signed Dorgu, Ruben Amorim would be left with bare bones in the left wing-back department.
