Manchester United had a wave of concerns hitting them following the 3-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have slipped down to 14th place in the Premier League, with reports claiming that Erik ten Hag had two games to save his job.
As if this wasn’t enough, Ten Hag’s star midfielder, Kobbie Mainoo, was forced off of the pitch with a tweak to his hamstring just before half-time.
United now face a significant setback ahead of their vital clash with Brentford, as Kobbie Mainoo has been sidelined for approximately a month due to a hamstring injury.

The young midfielder, who withdrew from the England squad last week after sustaining the injury during United’s goalless draw against Aston Villa on October 6, will be out until after the next international break. This news was confirmed by the club on Thursday.
Kobbie Mainoo, 19, an academy product, is expected to miss up to seven games for Manchester United, starting with Saturday’s Premier League fixture against Brentford at Old Trafford.
He will also be unavailable for their Europa League trip to Fenerbahce, set to take place five days later.
The injury to Mainoo adds to United’s mounting injury woes. Manuel Ugarte, who is struggling with a thigh problem that saw him substituted during Uruguay’s 0-0 draw with Ecuador, was only able to partake in light training on Thursday.

His availability for the Brentford match remains in doubt. If Ugarte is ruled out, Erik ten Hag will be left with just two senior central midfield options—Christian Eriksen and Casemiro.
Both Eriksen and Casemiro will need to be at their best to neutralize Brentford, who are known for their rapid and efficient counterattacks in the Premier League.
There is some positive news, however. Mason Mount, who missed United’s last two matches due to head and muscle issues, is reportedly making steady progress in his recovery.
Additionally, left-back Luke Shaw, sidelined since preseason with a calf injury, is also improving but remains unavailable for the upcoming match.
United’s injury list continues with Tyrell Malacia (knee), Harry Maguire (calf), and Leny Yoro (foot), all out of contention for the Brentford fixture.

This leaves Ten Hag with a squad significantly reduced by injuries as he faces mounting pressure.
The Dutchman must secure a win to avoid further scrutiny over his future, as United currently sit 14th in the Premier League table, six points behind the top four after seven games.
Despite back-to-back draws against Porto and Aston Villa, the club’s board opted against dismissing Ten Hag last week.
However, a poor result against Brentford could reignite discussions about his future at Old Trafford.
In more encouraging news, Morocco full-back Noussair Mazraoui participated in full training on Thursday, just days after undergoing minor heart surgery following palpitations during the Villa match.
While it is unclear if the £16.9 million summer signing from Bayern Munich will be involved on Saturday, his return is a positive sign for United.
Furthermore, Alejandro Garnacho (knee) and Amad Diallo (illness) both trained with the squad on Thursday and could be in contention to feature against Brentford.
Last season, Brentford were on the verge of victory at Old Trafford before Scott McTominay scored two stoppage-time goals to secure a 2-1 win for United.
