Ruben Amorim might have just received a bit of a boost as a return to the pitch for Kobbie Mainoo has now got a rough timescale.

The youngster is just one of a whole list of United stars who are currently in the Carrington treatment room with Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo joining Mainoo alongside the routinely injured pair of Mason Mount and Luke Shaw.

Diallo and Martinez are set to miss the rest of the season through injury, with the pair needing surgery to repair the damage caused to their ankle and ACL respectively.

However, Mainoo is set to return before the end of the season, getting one of Amorim’s regular starters back onto the pitch.

Kobbie Mainoo set to return next month

Kobbie Mainoo was ruled out of United’s recent 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur due to an undisclosed muscle injury.

The Telegraph has now revealed that the 19-year-old is aiming to return to the pitch after the March internationals.

If he can return in this timescale, he’ll be back in rotation for United’s fixture with Nottingham Forest who find themselves in 3rd place in the Premier League.

As such Amorim will be needing his best players on the pitch so will likely welcome Mainoo’s return with open arms.

Heading to London to face Spurs, Amorim was faced with having a substitute bench full of recent academy graduates, with Victor Lindelof as the only man on the bench with Premier League experience.
