Kai Rooney made his U18 debut today against Everton in the 73rd minute, with the Red Devils winning 1-0.
This is a significant achievement for the son of Wayne Rooney, as he is still only 15.
Another young talent who started the game was JJ Gabriel, who has been raved about by fans as the “Kid Messi”.
The team included young stars like Godwill Kukonki, Jim Thwaites, and Douka Nkoto.
The U18 team is being managed by newly appointed Darren Fletcher, who used to play for the club.
He was also an assistant manager for the Red Devils.
Fletcher will be keen to make his mark on bringing the next best batch of youth players through like it has been done in recent years.
