Marcus Rashford has been sent a telling two-word message by former Manchester United team-mate Jadon Sancho after sealing a switch to Aston Villa.
The current Chelsea winger underwent a similar ordeal to his compatriot in the summer transfer window.
Having been a Red Devil since the age of seven, Rashford had become part of the furniture at Old Trafford.
That was until the arrival of new boss Ruben Amorim.
The Portuguese head coach was unimpressed with Rashford’s efforts in training, and with his form declining, he ousted him from the squad.

This led to an initial loan move to Villa Park – with a £40m buy option in the summer.
Now, some of his former United team-mates have wished him well, with Sancho’s comment particularly telling.
After the move was announced, Rashford took to Instagram to share photos of himself signing for Villa, writing: “I would like to thank Manchester United and Aston Villa for making this loan deal happen.
“I was lucky to have a few clubs approach me, but Aston Villa was an easy decision – I really admire the way they have been playing this season.
“I just want to play football and am excited to get started.”
The reply from Jadon Sancho spoke volumes, as the 24-year-old wrote: “He’s back!” with a fingers-crossed emoji.
Rashford had endured a painful exile at United, and Sancho clearly hopes his friend can now bounce back.

Rashford’s situation mirrors Sancho’s, who was also frozen out but has since impressed under Enzo Maresca at Chelsea.
Other players also showed admiration, with Alejandro Garnacho writing: “All the best Rash!”
Antony added: “All the best brother,” while Scott McTominay and Luke Shaw both wished him good luck.
