Manchester United’s second week of pre-season training has seen the tempo rise, with players put through intense drills under Ruben Amorim’s close supervision.
After a week of testing and recovery, Carrington seems to be buzzing with energy as Amorim looks to instil his tactical philosophy across a squad still adjusting to a demanding new environment.

A full pre season is huge for Amorim, considering he had only arrived at the club in October, a situation that every manager would prefer to avoid.
However, changes are certainly being made – whether it be youngsters called up to train with the senior team – and first team players being exiled in attempts to be sold.
And amidst all the action, one subtle but significant detail has now been confirmed.
As spotted during Thursday’s session and later reported by the club’s official website, Jack Fletcher has officially received a new first team squad number – moving from No.57 to No.38.
According to the club website, Fletcher impressed in a training game with his composed finish following a brilliant pass from Radek Vitek, earning praise from both coaches and teammates.

Amorim was seen taking notes from the sidelines throughout the high-tempo round-robin tournament that replaced the traditional 11-a-side game.
Fletcher is seeming to appear increasingly at home in the senior environment, continuing to show the sort of calm decision-making that suggests he’s ready to push on.
De Ligt also shone with two thunderous finishes and vocal leadership.
While Rasmus Hojlund looked sharp in shooting drills, smiling after netting twice in quick succession.
Chido Obi struck the first goal of the mini-tournament and later celebrated a team win alongside Fernandes, Ayden Heaven and Noussair Mazraoui as the “yellows” lifted bragging rights for the day.
The overall mood around Carrington appears upbeat and focused, with a first glimpse of Amorim’s United side coming this weekend in Stockholm against Leeds.
