Manchester United seem to finally be coming through a plague of injuries, with their midfield duo on the road to recovery.
The Red Devils have been experiencing a raft of injuries since last season, affecting team selections. However, the injury list is getting shorter and shorter day by day, with more players getting back to training.
Left-backs Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have been out for the majority of last season through to now. Whilst Shaw made a cameo for England at Euro 2024 before picking up another injury, the pair have been ruled out throughout 2024.
However, the pair are now back in team training, with Malacia even having his first minutes on the pitch last night against Huddersfield Town for the Under-21’s side.
Alongside them returning to training was Leny Yoro who’s working towards his competitive debut for the club after being injured on the pre-season tour in the summer.

However, we now have an update on the young midfield duo, Toby Collyer and Dan Gore.
The midfield duo, Toby Collyer and Dan Gore
Manchester Evening News has revealed that whilst Gore is set to return in the coming weeks, Collyer has already returned to training on the grass.
The pair have already featured for the senior squad, being considered two of the strongest midfielders to come through the academy in recent times. The duo are hoping to follow in Kobbie Mainoo’s footsteps and break into the first squad, rivalling the England international for a starting spot.
Speaking of Gore’s recovery, Travis Binnion, the Under-21s manager, commented: “He’ll be back…. soon. Days, weeks…. like it’s short.”
He continued: “It’s a short-term injury and he’s been a little bit unfortunate, just like Sekou Kone tonight.
“When you’re coming back you’re probably at your most vulnerable so it’s a case of him doing what Sekou needs to do – getting games, staying fit and then he’ll be in a good place.”
He then commented on Collyer, adding: “Toby Collyer has returned to the grass this week, so that’s a positive. These lads are good players, they need to get fit, stay fit and have a positive impact for the club.”
