Harry Maguire’s Manchester United journey has been nothing short of a rejuvenation in recent months.
Having fallen to the fringes of the squad under previous managers, the England international looked certain to leave Old Trafford at one stage.
But under Ruben Amorim, Maguire has enjoyed a major resurgence.
The Englishman has re-established himself as a key figure at the heart of the defence.
And while his on-pitch performances have caught the eye, his growing influence behind the scenes is also now drawing plaudits.
Harry Maguire plays key role off-the-pitch
According to Chris Wheeler of the Daily Mail, Maguire has become an invaluable figure within the club’s academy setup.
Maguire has been offering vital support to the next generation of Manchester United talent.
“Speaking to a source close to the academy this week, it was striking just how positive they were about the role Maguire is playing with the youngster’s coming through.” – the source within Daily Mail’s report stated.
The source highlighted how the experienced centre back was key in helping Harry Amass settle into the first-team dressing room.
Hugely important in setting the tone for a welcoming environment.
Maguire was also among the first to publicly praise Tyler Fredricson online following his senior debut against Wolves on Sunday.

But his guidance hasn’t stopped there, as Maguire’s impact has extended to a host of United’s rising stars.
Young stars including Jaydan Kamason, Jack Moorhouse, James Scanlon, and Godwill Kukonki.
“He is a top, top bloke,” the source told Confidential, via the Daily Mail.
“He’s one of the nicest people you could ever meet and he’s been invaluable to the kids.”
He may no longer wear the captain’s armband at Manchester United.
However, Maguire’s leadership – both on and off the pitch – is clearly still shining through.
