Harry Amass is one of the newest shining lights that has come out of the historic Manchester United academy.

The Englishman made his first team debut for the Red Devils last year and has made seven appearances since.

Alongside performing in the first-team, Amass has continued his appearance in the Manchester United academy where he has made twenty appearances.

These performances saw the 18-year-old narrowly miss out on an England call-up to the national team’s under-20s setup this summer.

Following this, Harry Amass was linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

But, with the end of the transfer window approaching, it took until deadline day for the 18-year-old to secure a move to Sheffield Wednesday.

Now, the left-back has played his first game for the Owls in Wednesday’s game against Bristol City.

However, his debut for the club did not go to plan with the left-back conceding an own goal after just six minutes.

But, he did manage to execute three of his four attempted dribbles and won 67% of his ground duels.

Even with this, he received a match rating of 5.5 by FotMob and was substituted after 68 minutes played.

Reacting to his performance after the game, Yorkshire Post gave Amass’ performance a 5/10 stating that he “took a while to settle.”

The publication also stated that “a few glimpses of his ability were on offer.”

Meanwhile, the Star were slightly more positive giving the 18-year-old a 6/10 and adding that the left-back “was unlucky to see one spin in off his mush early doors for an own goal.”

Furthermore, the publication also stated that the defender “tried to get forward and contributed a couple of the brighter moments.”

Attention will now turn towards Sheffield Wednesday’s game against Grimsby Town on Tuesday evening in the EFL Cup.
