Hannibal Mejbri transfer fee revealed

With Hannibal’s move to Burnley imminent, the value of the deal has been revealed.

Manchester United are certainly having a busy final week of the transfer window. With Scott McTominay off to Napoli, Hannibal Mejbri to Burnley and Manuel Ugarte joining United, the midfield at Old Trafford is finally getting it’s shake up.

It’s understood that whilst McTominay and Ugarte are set to have their medical assessments today, Hannibal already completed his yesterday.

It’s now been revealed by The Daily Mail that the deal for Mejbri has been agreed for a value of £9.5 million.

The midfielder is thought to be brought in to replace Sander Berge who was bought be Fulham in a dramatic turn of events which saw them abandon the agreed deal for McTominay in favour of the Norwegian.

With Mejbri entering the final year of his contract, United are keen to cash in on the player who hasn’t really featured in any plans for the first team.  Since joining the senior squad from the academy in 2020, Hannibal has been out on loans to Birmingham City and Seville, however has only made 13 appearances for the Red Devils.

The loan spell that saw Hannibal feature as a key player in Birmingham’s Championship campaign saw the Tunisian make 41 appearances, helping the team with a goal and six assists, including a standout performance against West Bromwich Albion. The Game was his only goal for Birmingham, however his assist to Krystian Bielik saw him contribute to both goals in their 2-0 win.

No doubt Burnley will be that this showing can be replicated more often in their upcoming campaign if he is set to replace their former star midfielder.
