Gary Neville is a Manchester United legend now turned pundit who regularly features on Sky Sports.

The former United defender played for the Red Devils 400 times.

Furthermore, he was able to score five times between the years of 1992 and 2011 before retiring at Manchester United.

During his time with United, he won eight Premier League titles, three FA Cups, two UEFA Champions Leagues and much more.

As well as this, the 50-year-old played under Sir Alex Ferguson – possibly the greatest Red Devils boss ever.

He also played with famous names such as Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham and Rio Ferdinand among others.

Now, the former United defender has spoken on United’s summer business after Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Fulham today.

In an interview on Sky Sports last week, Gary Neville put forward cautious optimism following the Red Devil’s 1-0 loss to Arsenal at Old Trafford.

Following the game today, he stated in an interview with Sky Sports that this optimism had been ‘checked slightly’ due to the ‘odd sort of scars’ that he felt were reappearing during the game.

The 50-year-old also thought the performance today by United was ‘a little more subdued’ than last week’s performance.

In the interview, he also stated that the Red Devils ‘need to do business in midfield’ before the transfer window closes shortly.

Previously, Ruben Amorim’s side had looked towards Carlos Baleba as a potential option for this role.

However, with Brighton and Hove Albion not wanting to let the midfielder go, it is currently unlikely that the midfielder will join Ruben Amorim’s squad this summer.

With this apparent, Manchester United may look to turn towards the transfer market in the window’s last week before its closure.

But, only time will tell.
