Manchester United remain firmly in the hunt to sign Wolves forward Matheus Cunha.
The Red Devils are growing increasingly confident of landing the Brazilian this summer.
Cunha, who has impressed at Wolves with his blend of ball-carrying, creativity and attacking output, has emerged as a top target for Ruben Amorim as United seek to revamp their forward line.
The 25-year-old has a £62.5m release clause.

Having already played in a 3-4-2-1 system under Vitor Pereira, he’s seen as an ideal fit for Amorim’s plans at Old Trafford.
United’s current frontline has been depleted by the loan exits of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony.
While Alejandro Garnacho and Joshua Zirkzee have had to shoulder most of the attacking burden.
That lack of balance and natural ball-carriers in wide or No.10 roles has prompted the push for Cunha.
Gary Neville backs Matheus Cunha signing
Gary Neville believes the desperation to sign a player like him is evident.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the former United captain didn’t hold back when assessing the situation: “They’re desperate in that position,” he said.
“You think of what Manchester United are playing now – they’ve let Jadon Sancho go, they’ve let Marcus Rashford go.
“They’ve let Antony go, so three players who are natural players who travel with the ball.”
Neville added that Garnacho has stepped up, but the system still looks “lopsided,” with Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount having to plug gaps that don’t suit their strengths.
“They need someone who can beat players.
“Someone who’s equally good running through the middle with the ball and go out wide and support the wing-back,” he told Sky Sports.
“Cunha’s the type of player that would suit this system that Ruben Amorim wants to play.”
United’s lack of cutting edge has been a recurring theme this season.

The Red Devils have netted just 38 goals in 33 Premier League games.
Neville made it clear that Amorim’s attack needs urgent reinforcements:
“They need to score goals.
“Ruben Amorim said at the weekend they’re struggling to score goals.
“So you need players who can take risks, good in the final third.
“Cunha’s got a lot of ability.”
If United decide to trigger Cunha’s clause, it would mark another bold investment aimed at solving their long-running issues in the final third.
Neville’s assessment makes clear just how vital that move could be.
