Fabrizio Romano has spoke on reports linking Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount with a summer move to Inter Milan.
Mount’s time at Old Trafford has been plagued by injuries since his £55 million move from Chelsea in 2023.
The 26-year-old has managed just 32 appearances in 18 months, missing 46 games due to persistent hamstring, calf, and thigh issues.
Despite his struggles, Mount remains highly rated by both Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim.

Ten Hag saw him as key to turning United into a high-pressing team.
While Amorim has described him as a “perfect” fit for his 3-4-2-1 system.
Reports this week suggested that Inter Milan were considering a loan move for Mount to replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
However, his £250,000-a-week wages were said to be a stumbling block.
Inter are only willing to sign him if United covered a significant portion of his salary.
Fabrizio Romano confirms Inter Milan will NOT pursue Mason Mount
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano dismissed the story.
He has insisted that Inter are pursuing a different strategy.
“Inter are going in a completely different direction,” Romano said.
“They will invest in young players, not on players with crazy contracts.”
He further clarified that “Inter are not going for players like Mason Mount.”
Romano added: “There is nothing really serious there, nothing concrete to report.”
Amorim still values Mount’s work rate and technical ability.
However, his injury woes need to be phased out.
The Englishman only started five games last season.
Mount played 14 minutes against Manchester City in December.
The £55 million man, who is believed to be on £250k a week, has been with the Red Devils for around 18 months.
For now, the midfielder’s future remains firmly at Old Trafford.
