Manchester United plan to offer a new contract to one of their talented attackers in recognition of their outstanding youth-level performances this season.

Amorim is well known for giving up-and-coming players a chance in his teams; under the Portuguese manager, Amad Diallo has thrived.

Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven will play significant roles in the long run – this season has seen the debuts of young players like Chido Obi, Tyler Fredricsen, and Harry Amass.

One of the pillars of the club’s tradition is its academy, which has a recognised history of producing elite players.

The focus on developing talent encompasses more than simply football; it also involves developing resilience and character.

From Marcus Rashford to Ryan Giggs to George Best, the route to the first team continues to be a beacon of hope for developing athletes throughout Carrington.

Now, the club are looking to secure the next wave of talent as one of their academy stars is set to be awarded a new contract.

Bendito Mantato to sign professional contract

CentreDevils can exclusively confirm that highly talented youngster Bendito Mantato is set to sign his first professional contract today at Carrington.

In United’s academy, the 17-year-old winger is considered to be among the best players.

It was reported late March from Fabrizio Romano and AcademyScoop (Via X) that the young English winger is set to sign a new deal.

Due to a few delays and last-minute details having to be sorted, the signature was pushed back.

But now that everything is settled, Mantato will sign a new contract that will last until June 2029.

Jason Wilcox played a crucial role in completing the deal.

The young player is also highly regarded by manager Ruben Amorim, who is keen to incorporate him into the senior setup.

Mantato has already participated in training sessions with the first team, as well as making the bench in the Red Devil’s Europa League semi-final first leg tie against Athletic Club.

Given United’s growing emphasis on developing young players, his debut might signal the start of yet another thrilling academy success story at Old Trafford.
