Ethan Wheatley is just one of the many talents to come out of the Manchester United academy but a name which Red Devil fans are excited about.
He has family heritage in Malaysia, where his grandmother comes from, making him eligible for selection for their national team, though he has already represented England at the Under-17 level.
Having been a member of United’s academy since childhood, Wheatley signed his first contract with the team in 2022, the year he turned 16.
He joined the first-team squad for the Premier League match against Sheffield United, making his senior debut when he replaced Rasmus Hojlund in the 91st minute of the 4-2 win.
Wheatley has an insatiable hunger for scoring, demonstrated by his 22 goals this season across all competitions for both the U18s and U21s.
He is capable of scoring goals of all types, with his right foot, his left and his head, and from all angles.
He officially confirmed his loan to Northampton Town earlier this summer.
And now he hits another professional milestone.

Ethan Wheatley officially scored his first professional goal yesterday against Exeter City.
The young English striker scored in the first minute.
The goal was one of class and precision, in which he took it beautifully into the top right corner with his right foot.
An almost trademark finish like one in Carrington he always does.
Wheatley has a good physique for a striker, standing at 6’1, but his stature does not affect his ability to dance around defenders and make them look silly.
A successful loan could land him many opportunities, whether at a new club or Manchester United for the first time next season.
Rasmus Hojlund is close to completing his move to Napoli.
This could free up room for another striker next summer, for which Wheatley could try and grab a spot.
