Erling Haaland is one of the most recongisable and prolific names in football today.
The striker, who represents Manchester City and Norway currently, began his career at Bryne where he made 16 appearances.
But, he was unable to score any goals during this time.
Haaland then moved onto Molde where he made 48 appearances and scored 19 times.
Following this, the Norway international moved to Salzburg where he made 27 appearances and scored 29 times, an average of more than one goal per game.
After his spell with Salzburg, the 25-year-old moved to Bourissa Dortmund.
During his spell with the Bundesliga giants, he made 89 appearances and scored 86 goals during this time.
His impressive spell with Dortmund meant that he earned a move to Manchester City where he has scored 127 goals during his 147 appearances at the club.
Through looking at these statistics, we can see that wherever the striker goes, he has a prolific record and has proved himself at many clubs throughout a number of years.
As well as his club record, the striker has scored 43 goals in 44 appearances for Norway.
But, in his latest international break with the national team, Erling Haaland has suffered a freak injury.
The injury saw the striker collide with a bus door leaving him needing three stiches on his face.
Haaland isn’t the first forward to be injury ahead of the Manchester derby with Matheus Cunha also picking up an injury.
But, there is hope that Cunha will be available following him sharing a positive update yesterday.
Whilst this injury most probably won’t affect his availability in next week’s Manchester derby, it will arguably make him less dominant in the air.
Haaland’s decreased dominance in the air could benefit Manchester United in their pursuit of success in the upcoming match.
But, only time will tell.
