Erik ten Hag is now in the free market, looking for his next club after leaving Manchester United.

United sacked ten Hag last month following an extended period of poor results.

The club struggled at 14th in the Premier League and 21st in the Europa League when The Red Devils axed the 54-year-old.

However, this wasn’t the first time ten Hag came under fire and Old Trafford.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe decided to stick with the Dutchman at the start of the summer following United’s worst Premier League finish, coming in eighth.

With United’s worse start to this campaign, it’s understandable that ten Hag was again under fire.

In the October international break, the Dutchman was once more, on the brink of departure, however again survived the break.

Unfortunately for ten Hag, only two weeks later, he was ultimately sacked by the club, with United hiring Ruben Amorim to be his successor.

Upon leaving the club, ten Hag retreated to his hideaway in Austria to reflect on his time at Old Trafford.

In his statement to the club’s fans, ten Hag thanks them for all their support and love for the club from all over the world.

However, ten Hag is now looking towards his next role.

AS Roma look to Erik ten Hag

It was widely thought that ten Hag’s next venture would be back in the Netherlands, but it appears another top European club is coming knocking.

According to Il Messaggero as reported by RomaPress, AS Roma are considering ten Hag as their new manager. It’s understood they are looking to him to see out the rest of the season with the Italian side.

Roma find themselves in twelfth place, sitting 12 points behind the top four. Looking the other way, Roma are only four points clear of the relegation zone, putting them in a worrying position.

The report explains that in the wake of Ivan Juric being sacked from the club’s poor performances, Roma are being careful with the selection of their next manager.
