Manchester United’s Europa League squad is set for the remainder of the season, but one emerging talent has been left out of the selection.
Manchester United’s Europa League campaign has been anything but smooth, with inconsistent performances raising doubts about their chances of lifting the trophy.
A group stage filled with narrow victories and unexpected setbacks left them with little margin for error as they advanced to the knockout rounds.
Progressing to the last 16, they now face Real Sociedad in a crucial two-legged tie that will determine their European fate.

Despite their struggles, the emergence of young talents has provided some optimism amid a challenging season.
Chido Obi, a 17-year-old forward, has caught the eye with his performances, most notably in United’s FA Cup defeat to Fulham.
Coming off the bench, he made an immediate impact, creating multiple chances and coming agonizingly close to winning the match in normal time.
His display led to widespread calls for him to feature in the Europa League, but that will not be possible.
Chido Obi was not included in United’s revised squad list for the competition, making him ineligible to play in any remaining matches, as per journalist Rich Fay.
The teenager was not a registered Manchester United player when the initial squad was submitted in September and was overlooked when the club updated their list last month.
Instead, January signings Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven were added, while Chido Obi remained out of consideration due to his lack of first-team experience at the time.
Having made his senior debut only in February, he does not meet UEFA’s criteria for automatic inclusion on the B-List either.
The rule states that only club-trained players who have spent at least two uninterrupted years with their team can be added, meaning Obi, who joined from Arsenal last season, does not qualify.
United must now navigate the remainder of the competition without him, despite his recent rise to prominence.
