Missing out on Champions League qualification means United won’t be able to attract the level of player that Chelsea can.

They too, are expected to be one amongst many clubs looking for a striker this summer.
The Blues have been looking at similar targets that the Red Devils have been looking to pursue.
The likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Victor Osimhen and Liam Delap have all been linked with both clubs.
Delap in particular, has made further developments in joining United.
Monday’s development was about United agreeing to pay the release clause for Delap, which is believed to be £30m.
However, one of Chelsea’s owner’s was spotted earlier today in attendance for the UEFA Conference League final against Real Betis.

Behdad Eghbali, founder of Clearlake Capital, has been spotted as per PA Senior Reporter Reuben Rosso-Powell’s tweet on X.
Reuben posted a picture stood alongside Eghbali, commenting “And he’s also a big fan of Liam Delap 👀.”
Delap’s future is one that will continue to be of huge conversation this summer.

It is believed that he is still yet to decide where his future lies.
Delap’s only transfer requirement is for guaranteed first team football, and considering Rasmus Hojlund’s struggles this season, it’s a no-brainer that Delap would enter the United squad as Hojlund’s replacement as the first-choice striker.
However, the same could be said for his possible future at Chelsea, where he would likely be playing ahead of Nicolas Jackson.
