One of the most notable developments of Manchester United’s summer transfer window is likely to be their midfield predicament.
Although the club has made significant investments in offense under Ruben Amorim’s leadership, there are still unanswered problems about how to strengthen the team’s engine room.
To find out which players will start the Premier League opening, fans have been keenly observing preseason performances, especially in the center.
With contract difficulties and loan movements making things even more difficult, the Red Devils are balancing a number of options as they compare short-term fixes against longer-term solutions.
Talk are still dominated regarding United’s midfield targets ahead of Sunday’s match against Arsenal at Old Trafford.
Carlos Baleba has been the centre of attention in the last few weeks.
The deal was seen to be off by several sources with a deal this summer seen as difficult.
And it seems Baleba himself has sent a message amid the links.

During Brighton’s 1-1 draw with Fulham, Baleba played 69 minutes. Before he left, they had a 1-0 lead after Fulham equalised in injury time.
Following the game, Baleba seemed to dismiss the transfer rumours with a humorous Instagram post that reflected his attitude.
He wrote: “Just me doing the thing I love most. Had fun playing at home with the boys”
“Nothing new here, just my number and a haircut 🙂”
He also added a hashtag at the end – #areyouabaleba?
This along with his comment on the post (#ImABaleba) sent Red Devil fans wild on social media discussing whether it was a hidden meaning.
This is because the #ImABaleba hashtag has been trending with United fans wanting the Cameroon star as their top midfielder target.
It remains to be seen whether Baleba will be a Manchester United player this summer or not.
