Carlos Baleba has been a player linked with Manchester United this summer as the Red Devils finalise their squad ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Ruben Amorim’s side have been linked with the Cameroon international with the midfielder’s club, Brighton and Hove Albion, wanting at least £87 million for the 21-year-old if they are to sell him to another club.
Furthermore, the Seagulls have revealed that they still see Carlos Baleba in their future plans.

The midfielder, 21, would become United’s first midfield recruitment of the summer following signings in an attacking and defensive aspect in earlier stages of the window.
These previous signings have seen names such as Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko join the club.
But, whilst Carlos Baleba wouldn’t offer as much attacking threat – considering he only scored four times in the Premier League last season – he would offer quality in other aspects.
Now, it has been revealed by the Argus that the midfielder was missing from Albion’s line-up today against Wolfsburg as the Seagulls prepare for their opening Premier League game against Fulham next Saturday.

Baleba’s absence from the line-up can be concluded to be as a result of a minor knee injury that he picked up during pre-season training.
But, with United’s interest, his absence arguably will attract interest from both Brighton fans and Manchester United fans who would be interested about updates regarding the midfielder.
With Brighton’s game against Fulham only a week away, attention will now turn towards whether the 21-year-old will be fit to start in the Seagull’s opening game.
