Manchester United’s summer business has already sparked widespread excitement, with three major additions strengthening the squad ahead of the new season.

Ruben Amorim has made his intentions clear, targeting explosive, versatile players to build a side capable of challenging both domestically and in Europe.

As pre-season continues in the United States, fans have had their first glimpse of what the new campaign might look like, with friendlies offering a preview of key combinations.

With United preparing to face Arsenal on 17 August in their Premier League opener, attention has now turned to how the new arrivals will settle — and who they’ll link up with on the pitch.

Among the most talked-about new faces is 25-year-old Cameroon winger Bryan Mbeumo, who finally completed his move to United after prolonged negotiations.

The Red Devils paid £65 million for the former Brentford man, with a further £6 million in potential add-ons, securing him on a five-year contract as their third summer signing after Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon.

In an appearance on Rio Ferdinand Presents on YouTube, Bryan Mbeumo opened up about the move and spoke highly of the United player he’s most excited to join.

“Everyone sees in the past years, he can shoot, he can cross, he can do crazy ball,” Mbeumo said, referring to Bruno Fernandes.

“Yeah, for a striker, you just enjoy that.”

The Portuguese midfielder, who recently turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, seems to have left quite the impression on the winger.

“On the pitch, when you’re smart like he is, I think you don’t even need to think a lot,” Mbeumo added.

“You just need to make the run and he’s going to play you in the right space every time.”

While chemistry is still building, Mbeumo noted that communication will play a role in fine-tuning their link-up.

“But of course, you can have a little discussion to make him know how I prefer the balls and how I’m feeling the best to have the ball,” he said.

“But at a certain point, there is only one way, even if it’s not the one you like, you have to do the run and he’s going to put the ball in a good position.”
