Brentford are set to be missing one of their key men when the host Manchester United this weekend.
Whilst Brentford’s found themselves sitting comfortably in 11th place in the Premier League for most of the season, United have had their worst Premier League run to date.
However, one of their few wins this season came at home when they hosted Brentford at Old Trafford in October as they won 2-1.
Goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund marked one of Erik ten Hag’s final games at the club before being replaced by Ruben Amorim and his Sporting Lisbon coaching staff.
United will be hoping to secure another win over Brentford as they travel to the Gtech Community Stadium. If their successful, a chance to rise to 13th place is on offer if Wolves lose to Manchester City.

Thomas Frank without Vitaly Janelt as Brentford host Manchester United
Now, as a boost for Amorim’s men, Sky Sports have revealed that United aren’t the only ones with significant injuries.
It’s now been revealed that key defensive midfielder Vitaly Janelt has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
The 26-year-old has recently undergone surgery to address an issue with his heel, with the procedure being hailed a success.
Unfortunately for manager Thomas Frank, he’ll be without Janelt for the rest of the season as he recovers.
The Bees confirmed: “The procedure went well, and he will now focus fully on his rehabilitation programme. As part of his recovery, Janelt will not feature again this season, with the aim of returning to full fitness early next term.
“He will work closely with the club’s medical and performance teams to return to action as quickly as possible.”
