Boca Juniors have confirmed the signing of former Manchester United midfielder, Ander Herrera.
Boca confirmed the news of the Spaniard’s arrival on Instagram.
They announced that Herrera will land in Buenos Aires on Wednesday to join his new team.
He has agreed a one year deal, with the option to extend for another year.
The Spanish midfielder has struggled for consistent game time this season, making 14 appearances but only starting three.
A muscle injury has kept him sidelined recently, further limiting his ability to impact performances on the pitch.

Herrera, who visited La Bombonera in 2023 expressing his admiration for the Argentine club, is now pursuing his dream.
He follows in the footsteps of Iker Muniain, who joined San Lorenzo last year.
Herrera was an important figure of United sides under Louis Van Gaal and Jose Mourinho.
The midfielder was one who quietly went about his business on-the-pitch, always putting the club before himself.

Herrera joined Athletic in January 2023 on a free transfer after leaving French giants, PSG.
Prior to that, he played for the Spanish club on loan for half a season and had actually played for them between 2011 and 2014.
Herrera’s best season throughout his career came in 2016/17 under Mourinho, where he netted two goals and 13 assists.
His workman-like ability on and off the ball has always been respected by fellow coaches who have had the privilege to coach him.
Herrera will always be remembered for arguably his most notable performance, against Chelsea in 16/17.
