Benjamin Sesko is Manchester United’s most recent major signing, having joined the club last week.

Sesko has moved to Old Trafford to complete Ruben Amorim’s attacking line after the signing of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo to completely remodel the club’s attack.

Unfortunately however, the Slovenia international arrived at United too late in the day to feature in any of the pre-season friendlies, being unveiled before their final game with Fiorentina last weekend.

As such, The Red Devils were planning to arrange a behind-closed-doors fixture with a local rival to give Sesko a chance of real-world match experience with his new teammates.

Now, The Athletic has reported that Benjamin Sesko has played his first game for Ruben Amorim.

It’s understood a game against the Under-21s side was organised at Carrington, to test the striker in a match setting.

Whilst the Under-21s won’t have given as intense competition as Arsenal will in the opening fixture of the Premier League season this weekend, the experience will still help Sesko to fit into his new squad.
