Manchester United’s post-season tour of Asia is already generating headlines, with Ruben Amorim taking a full-strength squad to Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong.
While the Reds look to bounce back from a trophyless season, transfer talks continue in the background as Amorim prepares for a major summer overhaul.
Several stars, including Jonny Evans, are making what could be their final appearances in a United shirt during the tour, while the absence of names like Lisandro Martínez and Leny Yoro has raised eyebrows.

As United look ahead to a new era under Amorim, one familiar face has resurfaced on the continent—albeit far away from Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag has officially been appointed as head coach of Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen.
The Dutchman has signed a contract until June 2027 and replaces Xabi Alonso, who departed to take over at Real Madrid.
Erik ten Hag returns to the dugout just eight months after his dismissal from Manchester United, following a poor start to the 2024/25 season that saw the club suffer four defeats in their opening nine Premier League matches.
Despite the early termination, he leaves with two trophies to his name—the League Cup and FA Cup—during his two-and-a-half years at the helm.

In his unveiling press conference, Ten Hag said: “Bayer is one of the best clubs in Germany and also belongs to the expanded European elite.
“I have come to Leverkusen to confirm the ambitions that have grown over the past few years.”
Leverkusen, who finished runners-up in the Bundesliga and reached the DFB-Pokal semi-finals, will be hoping Ten Hag can replicate the success he enjoyed at Ajax, where he won three Eredivisie titles and two KNVB Cups.
Sporting director Simon Rolfes praised Ten Hag’s “quality” and leadership, noting: “Our visions of football align.
“With technically demanding and dominant football, we want to pursue the highest goals.”
While United have moved on under Amorim, Ten Hag’s new challenge on the continent will be closely watched by fans and critics alike.
The Dutchman’s swift return to top-tier football proves his reputation remains intact, even after a turbulent ending in Manchester.
