Arsenal’s injury concerns are improving as they prepare to host Manchester United in the FA Cup on Sunday.

The Gunners have dealt with illness recently, but Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard both started in Tuesday’s Carabao Cup loss to Newcastle.

Raheem Sterling has also recovered from a knee injury, and Gabriel Martinelli returned to the starting lineup midweek after a brief bench stint against Brighton.

However, Arsenal remain without Ben White (knee), Bukayo Saka (hamstring), and Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee) for the third-round clash.

Bukayo Saka will prove to be the biggest miss out of the lot, with his growing importance being a huge focal point of Arsenal’s play.

Particularly in set-pieces, an area United will need to be well disciplined in.

Arsenal fans are hoping his injury absence will be a short-term issue and not a recurring theme for the future.

Ethan Nwaneri is also set to miss out due to a muscle injury, as per FotMob.

Mikel Arteta otherwise has a nearly full squad, with goalkeeper Neto potentially making his debut after joining on loan from Bournemouth.

Neto was cup-tied for the Carabao Cup clash against Newcastle, in which the Gunners lost 2-0.

Arteta is expected to stick with David Raya in goal and field a strong defence, possibly reintroducing Riccardo Calafiori after resting him against Newcastle.

Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard are likely to start in midfield, while Arteta must decide between Mikel Merino, Jorginho, or Thomas Partey for the third spot.

All players who will undoubtedly be giving Ruben Amorim cause for concern, ahead of picking his team.

In attack, Arsenal struggled to convert chances against Newcastle, but options remain limited due to injuries.

Havertz should retain his role as the No. 9, while Gabriel Jesus could feature on the right wing in a rare start.
