Antony, part of Ruben Amorim’s famed ‘bomb squad,’ has been a name heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer.

The winger spent the second half of last season out on loan at Real Betis.

Whilst with the La Liga outfit, the Brazilian made 29 appearances and scored nine goals.

But, following this spell, Antony returned to Old Trafford for pre-season training and even took to social media to post a goodbye message to the club.

However, with Antony linked to Betis on a permanent basis, a move to the Spanish outfit may happen before the transfer window closes on Monday.

Last night, the chances of the winger joining Real Betis looked more likely than ever with United even accepting a bid for the 25-year-old.

But, this move collapsed shortly after.

Now, a message that Antony posted on his Instagram following the emerging of this news has emerged.

Posting on his account last night, the Manchester United star posted a photo of himself with a group of men.

On this story, the winger put the message “Entre Familia e amigos, a vida sempre nos reserva uma grande surpresa.”

In English, this translates to “Between family and friends, life always has a big surprise in store for us.”

With Antony posting this message, the winger could be hinting at something related to his Manchester United future.

However, given the circumstances of the story, it could also simply be a message relating to the photo he has posted with a number of his friends.

But, given Antony’s situation with United, the posting of this story can be said to be related to his future at Old Trafford.

What is for sure is that the following days will be pivotal in telling us about this story’s meaning.
