The Red Devils are gearing up for a busy summer, with key players like Andre Onana fighting to be ready for the new Premier League season after a recent injury setback he sustained during pre-season training.

Fans are watching closely as United work through the challenges ahead, hoping the squad will be ready to compete at the highest level once the campaign kicks off.

Onana’s hamstring injury, sustained early in pre-season, initially raised concerns about his availability for the start of the season.

However, the club’s medical staff have been optimistic, confirming that the injury is a strain rather than a tear, which means his recovery is progressing well, as per The Mirror.

Although Onana will miss the pre-season opener against Leeds in Stockholm, he will travel with the squad for the Premier League Summer Series in the United States, where United face West Ham, Bournemouth, and Everton.

While he won’t play in the first two fixtures, there is hope he could feature in the final game against Everton in Atlanta.

In the meantime, No.2 goalkeeper Altay Bayindir is expected to take most of the minutes during the US tour, having filled in for Andre Onana several times last season.

United’s veteran third-choice keeper Tom Heaton, 39, recently signed a one-year extension, adding experience to the squad.

Meanwhile, promising youngsters Radek Vitek, Elyh Harrison, and Dermot Mee provide additional depth, though they have yet to make their first-team debuts despite being on the bench towards the end of last season.

On the transfer front, United remain determined to secure Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo despite two rejected bids.

The Bees reportedly value the 25-year-old at around £70 million, while United have offered up to £65 million.

Though there is a notable gap, talks continue with optimism a deal can be struck, especially as Mbeumo is keen on making the switch.

Manchester United face a crucial period to get their squad in shape and finalise transfers ahead of a demanding new season.
