Manchester United are currently preparing for their first pre season fixture, taking on Leeds on Saturday 19th July.

Although Bryan Mbeumo won’t be signed in time, Manchester United fans look set to get a first look at Matheus Cunha in red.

Ruben Amorim has recently confirmed his 29-man squad to take on Leeds, with 9 key omissions, as per the club website.

Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia – who have all been training away from the squad have unsurprisingly missed out on the squad to face Leeds.

This comes as these 5 players are searching for exit away from the club this summer.

Addiotnally, 18-year-old left back Harry Amass has also been left out of the squad, as Manchester United look to find him a loan in order to gain first team experience.

This comes after Diego Leon impressed the United coaches in training and is expected to be gifted the chance to prove himself at Manchester United this season.

Further omissions are injured trio Lisandro Martinez, Andre Onana and Joshua Zirkzee.

Lisandro Martinez is still recovering from a knee issue, expected to rule him out until at least the start of the Premier League season.

Whilst Andre Onana is in a race to make fitness for the first game, suffering a hamstring injury in pre season.

However, Joshua Zirkzee’s injury has come as a surprise.

Although, it’s only seen as a minor issue – with Joshua Zirkzee staying at Carrington for recovery and expected to make Manchester United’s pre-season tour of America.

Ruben Amorim still has a strong squad though to continue preparations ahead of the new season.

With fixtures against West Ham, Bournemouth, Everton, and Fiorentina following the Leeds clash as Amorim aims to improve the side going into competitive football in August.
