After finishing a disappointing 15th in the Premier League, Manchester United are set for a busy summer in the transfer market.
The club endured a chaotic campaign and is now determined to rebuild its squad ahead of the new season.
So far, United have completed the signings of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford and Matheus Cunha from Wolves, adding much-needed attacking depth.
But further reinforcements are expected.
The club is now focused on signing a striker and at least one midfielder.
They are close to finalising a deal for RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko and have also made initial enquiries about Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba.
Midfield has been a problem area for United, and the club wants to add energy and defensive quality in the middle of the park.
Goalkeeper is also a priority.
Both Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana struggled at times last season, with neither fully convincing when it came to shot-stopping or playing out from the back.
Onana has also suffered a hamstring injury in pre-season, so while he is pushing to return in time for the season opener, United want extra cover between the posts.
They have been linked with Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens, but now appear to be exploring a move for a different option – 20-year-old goalkeeper Abdulla Al Hammadi, with United reportedly weighing up a move with Al-Hammadi currently on trial at Carrington.
So who is the young goalkeeper?

Abdulla Al-Hammadi is a 20-year-old goalkeeper from the United Arab Emirates who is currently on trial with Manchester United.
Al-Hammadi is training with United at Carrington and has already been involved with the Under-21s squad, featuring on the bench during their recent 1-1 draw with Rochdale in a pre-season friendly.
This is not Al Hammadi’s first experience on trial in England.
Back in March, he trained with Everton and played in a behind-closed-doors match for their Under-21s against Bolton Wanderers, keeping a clean sheet in that game.
The match was held at Everton’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium, making Al Hammadi the first goalkeeper to record a clean sheet at the new ground.
Before his ventures in England, Al Hammadi played for Al Wasl in the UAE Pro League.
Though still relatively unknown, the young keeper is starting to draw attention for his potential.
A move to Manchester United, even at youth level, would represent a major step forward and could open the door for him to break into the Premier League in the future.
Manchester United’s transfer window is heating up as they look to strengthen across the pitch.
With several key areas already addressed and more targets lined up, the club is clearly backing new manager Ruben Amorim.
United are building a more balanced and competitive squad to give Amorim the tools he needs to succeed in his first full season at Old Trafford.
