Hugo Ekitike is the youngest of all the strikers on the shortlist, but he’s no less impressive.

With 19 goals and eight assists in 38 games, the 22-year-old has a gaol contribution rate of 0.71 per game.

Whilst this is the lowest rate of contributions on our list, the striker has still been a strong asset for Frankfurt, hence his inclusion by the Manchester United recruitment team.

This is also Ekitike’s first full season with Frankfurt, demonstrating his ability to settle into the team quickly.

Also with youth on his side, this would be another long-term signing by The Red Devils, with the INEOS led recruitment strategy favouring younger players.

Much like Osimhen, Ekitike has no experience in England and has no links to the current United squad or management, however due to his youth, he’s also unproven in any other league.

It’s understood that it would cost United around £33 million to sign the French striker, meaning the risk of signing him given his unproven career so far is significantly reduced.

Also on United’s side is the fact that a summer move is almost guaranteed for the youngster, with the striker prioritising a move to the Premier League.

Another massive boost for the Red Devils is that Ekitike recently revealed his appreciation for the club, having supported the side growing up.

As such, given the chance to play at Old Trafford for his boyhood club might be enough to lure the striker to the Premier League with Ruben Amorim’s side.
