Victor Osimhen is one of the top picks on United’s shortlist to come in and provide goals up top.

The Nigerian striker is currently in great form on loan with Galatasaray, with 26 goals and five assists in 30 games, for a goal contribution rate of 1.03 per game.

This directly shows his ability to come into a team and make his mark, being on loan so his first season with the Turkish Giants.

Despite his impressive form, it’s been reported that Antonio Conte has no plans to reintegrate him into his Napoli squad, meaning the striker is set for a permanent departure this summer.

At one point United were beginning conversations with Napoli about a player-swap involving Rasmus Hojlund, trying to capitalise on Conte’s appreciation of the Danish striker.

This was further backed by Osimhen’s reported desire to play for United, with his agent suggesting he’d be playing in red before long.

However, Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis has recently indicated that Osimhen will be going to the highest bidder, sparking a bidding war meaning he won’t come cheap.

Thankfully, with a release clause of £63 million, we know this is the most he could cost United, however with the club’s current financial pressures, cost will play a big part in their transfer business over the summer.

Whilst Osimhen doesn’t have any experience playing in England, he has proven himself in France with LOSC Lille, Italy with Napoli and Turkey with Galatasaray, showing his adaptability in multiple leagues.
