3. Kieran McKenna

Kieran McKenna’s rise through Manchester United’s coaching ranks is a testament to his talent and ambition.

Initially in charge of the club’s under-18s, McKenna was promoted to the senior coaching staff under Jose Mourinho.

He then  continued in the role under both Ralf Rangnick and Solskjaer.

However, his big break came in 2021 when he took over as manager of Ipswich Town in League One.

McKenna has since led Ipswich to consecutive promotions, guiding them back to the Premier League with a dynamic possession-heavy playing style.

While his time at United involved mixed reviews, McKenna’s decision to take on the challenge of first-team management was brave, and he has flourished.

His success has seen him linked with bigger jobs, including at Manchester United, Chelsea, and Brighton.

Although Ipswich have struggled early in the Premier League McKenna’s managerial stock is still high as he navigates his young team through the top flight.
