Steve McClaren’s second stint as Manchester United’s assistant manager began in 2022.
McClaren returned to help Erik ten Hag at the beginning of his tenure.
Having been Sir Alex Ferguson’s right-hand man during the iconic treble-winning season in 1999, McClaren brought invaluable experience to United’s modern squad.
His return saw him guide the club to success in both the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.
But he also faced challenging periods as the team struggled to find consistency.
With Ruud van Nistelrooy taking over as ten Hag’s new assistant, McClaren stepped aside.
He has since taken on the role of Jamaica’s national team manager, where his strengths in man management will no doubt shine.
