Mount Out – how will Ten Hag adapt against Forest

Mount’s injury is being described as a “small complaint” by United that will keep Mount out of the squad for two games.

How will Ten Hag’s lineup change?

Erik Ten Hag will now be forced into making changes to his starting eleven that has started all of the opening fixtures in the Premier League.

The obvious Mount replacement is to bring in Eriksen.

He is often the man that comes on for Mount and will be capable of creating and building up attacks against Forest.

The Danish midfielder prefers being on the front foot and isn’t known for his defensive capabilities.

This is a similar situation to Mount, however without a midfielder to support Casemiro United are finding it difficult to not get overrun in the middle of the park.

Scott McTominay is another option that Ten Hag may use to replace Mount.

McTominay offers more defensive capabilities than both Eriksen and Mount, however doesn’t seem to be favoured by Ten Hag with the Scotsman linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
