Predictions

With Forest firing and United’s defence weakened, I can see Forest grabbing one (or two) goals on Saturday.

But it’s in attack I am both nervous and excited.

Nerves of a sleepy Martial bumbling about up-top, nervous feelings around whether Garnacho has been impulse impressive and the gamble is too soon, and nervously awaiting 10+ curling left foot attempts into the bottom left of Turner’s net by Antony.

But, excited. Excited to see whether we have the long awaited debut of Hojlund (please, god).

Excited to see if regardless of our defence, Onana pulls off worldie-after-worldie.

And, excited to see United play Rashford in his wing position and zip past the Nottingham Forest defence.

2-1 United is the sensible prediction.

But where’s fun in being sensible?!

I’m going to suggest we resurrect the spirit of ’99 and take down Forrest 4-1 in a thriller of a game.

Fun fact – the last time we beat Forrest 4-1 was in ’96 and their goal scorer against United was none other than Alfe-Inge Haaland! If that name sounds familiar, he’s the father of Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.
